POV is intended for users aged 16 years and above.

By registering for POV, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old, and
• The information you provide during onboarding is accurate and truthful.

POV reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that are found to be in violation of this age requirement.

To provide a fun and secure experience, we collect:

Upon Sign-Up:

• Birthdate — To confirm you're above 16.
• Phone Number — For verification and account security.
• Name & Username — So friends can find and identify you.
• Email — For updates, notifications, and account recovery.
• Profile Picture — Optional, helps with recognition.

Optional Permissions (you'll be asked first):

• Contacts — To find friends already on POV.
• Notifications — To keep you in the loop.
• Camera & Album — For your profile picture and POV creation.

We use your data to:

• Verify your account and make sure you're within the approved age.
• Help you connect with friends.
• Customize your experience, including leaderboards and the POVs you send or receive.
• Send you updates about new features.
• Secure your account with password recovery and support.

What We Don't Do:

• ❌ We don't read or store messages (POV doesn't support DMs).
• ❌ We don't keep or share your photos, except your profile pic and POV images.
• ❌ We don't track your movements.
• ❌ We never sell your data.

The following info cannot be changed after registration:

• Username
• Birthdate
• Gender
• Phone number
• Email

✅ What you can change:

• Profile picture
• First name
• Last name

Other Users can only see:

• Your name, username, birthdate (month and year), profile picture and top POVs.
• Your phone number, email, and pincode are not visible to other users.

POV Team has access to your info strictly for operations, support, and safety.

Law Enforcement — Data will only be disclosed if legally required.

POV is designed to promote positive and safe interactions. If you encounter inappropriate behavior or something suspicious, you can:

• Report a user — Flag behavior directly in the app.
• Block a user — Stop unwanted interactions anytime.
• Use the app safely — Never share your personal details with strangers.

Our team reviews all reports promptly to help maintain a positive space.

We implement strong security protocols to protect your information. This includes:

• Encrypted data for account info
• Secure servers for storage
• Strict access controls

Think someone accessed your account? Email us at fam@getpov.app right away.

You're in control of your data. You can:

• Change your profile picture anytime
• Manage permissions (disable notifications, contacts)
• Unsubscribe from emails
• Delete your account

Once deleted, your data is permanently removed (unless required by law).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, you'll be notified in the app.

Using POV after updates means you agree to the new terms.
